The IONIQ 9 joins its relatives, the Kia EV9, Hyundai IONIQ 5, and IONIQ 6, in using the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Like its counterpart, the EV9, the IONIQ 9 will come equipped with either a single motor and rear-wheel drive or dual motors and all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel drive model will have around 215 horsepower, while the standard all-wheel drive model will offer 300 horsepower. A high-performance all-wheel drive model will be available with a maximum of approximately 380 horsepower. You can expect a driving range of about 335 miles with the rear-wheel drive version. All electric motors are powered by a 110.3 kWh lithium-ion battery. A standout feature of the IONIQ 9 is its bi-directional charging capability.
