Hyundai Sonata for Sale: Under the Hood
The new Sonata sedans are powered by Hyundai's 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine making 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. Using Hyundai's Gasoline Direct (GDI) and Multi-port fuel injection (MPI) technology, it delivers fuel economy and efficiency at every turn. Buyers may choose standard front-wheel or optional all-wheel drive to suit their specific needs. Both are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The performance-oriented Sonata N Line gets its power from a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine using GDI and MPI fuel delivery methods. The result is 290 horses and 311 lb-ft of torque. The power is delivered by an N-tuned 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A sport-tuned MacPherson Strut suspension in front and Multilink rear suspension is included for optimal handling and traction. The package finishes itself off with twin-tip dual exhausts.
Both Sonata models include complimentary oil and filter changes and tire rotation services for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The Sonata SEL gives buyers a choice of 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, the latter are available as part of the Sonata Convenience Package. The Sonata N Line adds sporty 19-inch wheels and a rear N Line spoiler. Both Sonata models include heated power side mirrors standard.
